Attempts on her Life

The Halt Bar, Woodlands Road
9th & 10th June 2011

Attempts to describe her?
Attempts to destroy her?
Or attempts to destroy herself?
Is Anne the object of violence?
Or its terrifying practitioner?

Through a series of short scenes devised and developed from Martin Crimp’s innovative and experimental text, the company attempt to explore the fragmented nature of the unseen central character: Anne.

We presented Attempts on her Life as a promenade performance around the Halt Bar in Glasgow. Each episode was performed in a different part of the bar and used projection, multimedia, recording and translation to create our interpretation of the text. We arranged the text to facilitate certain narratives and create tension between audience and performer.
