Audition Dates Announced

So it’s finally been confirmed —

The auditions are on Sunday 10th and 17th April, 1 – 3pm @ Halt Two, Woodlands Road, Glasgow.

Here’s the blurb:

Makeshift Broadcast presents
Attempts on Her Life has been described as Martin Crimp’s boldest and most innovative play. At turns, it is comedic, surreal and sharply political. Seventeen short scenes see a group of narrators attempt to describe the absent, central figure of the work, Anne, whose identity is always shifting. The production will be an ensemble piece, so we are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated team of actors for our first production as a non-professional theatre company.

This will be an informal and (hopefully!) fun audition – you will be asked to work with the others at the audition through improvisation and working with excerpts from the text. We’re hoping to create something that’s visually interesting for the audience, but don’t worry if you’re not a natural mover. You do not need to bring anything, though it’s always advisable to come wearing something you’re comfortable moving in.

Please note that rehearsals are likely to take place after 5pm on weeknights, and at the weekends, and you will be needed every night during production week (6th – 10th June). If you are unsure about your availability, please come along to the audition and discuss it with us.

If you have any other questions prior to the audition, please don’t hesitate to contact us at makeshift.broadcast@gmail.com. If you are unable to make either audition time then we will do our best to accommodate you, but please understand that other arrangements cannot always be made.

We look forward to two very exciting Sundays!
